Build a resume PDF in your browser
The Resume Builder is a form, a preview, several layouts, and a PDF download in this tab. You can paste a job description and see a keyword-overlap percentage. That percentage is not Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Naukri’s parser, or any employer system. It counts whether words in a short local list appear in both the pasted text and your form.
Steps
- Open Resume Builder and replace the sample: name, title, contact, summary, roles, education, skills.
- Keep dates in one format. Do not invent metrics. A bullet you cannot explain in an interview does not belong.
- Optional: paste the target job text. Missing terms are a hint, not a verdict. Stuffing the keyword list into a skills block reads badly and can still fail a human.
- Pick a layout that stays on one page if you can. Export PDF. Reopen it and confirm text is selectable, not a photo of text.
- Rename the file, for example Souren-Das-Resume.pdf. Merge a cover letter only if the employer asked for one packet.
What this is not
- Not an applicant-tracking system and not a prediction of interviews.
- Not a generative model. Local rewrite helpers are templates.
- Not a LinkedIn import and not a custom-font uploader.
- Not a visa or background-check form.
Before you send it in India
Naukri, LinkedIn, and company portals each parse differently. A clean single-column PDF with real text is the safe default. Avoid text inside images. Put the phone number you will answer. If a portal asks you to paste fields separately, do that; do not assume the PDF import mapped dates correctly. After export, use PDF Suite only if you must attach certificates. Do not merge ID scans unless the employer asked.

Layout choices that survive a portal
Single column beats a two-column design when a portal’s importer reads left to right and mixes the sidebar into the dates. The builder’s plainer layouts are the ones I would send to a company career page. A designed layout is fine as a PDF a human opens, and riskier as the only file a parser sees.
Contact line: city is enough. A full street address is rarely needed on a first CV. Put the role title in the same words the job used, if they are true. The local overlap score will light up those words; a human still has to believe the bullets.
After download, search the PDF for the sample company name from the placeholder. If it is still there, you have not replaced the fiction. That single check catches more bad sends than the percentage.
