About FileTools Kit

FileTools Kit is a free set of browser tools for ordinary file jobs: merge or split a PDF, turn scans into a PDF, shrink a photo, export a resume, make a QR code, hash a line of text. I built it so those jobs do not require an account or an upload to a processing server I operate.

Operator: Souren Das, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Product email support@filetoolskit.com. Privacy email privacy@filetoolskit.com. There is no phone line and no ticket portal.

Why it is shaped this way

Many “free PDF” sites ask you to upload a document to a machine you do not control, then put the download behind an account. This project is the opposite shape. The page is a web app. The file you pick stays in the tab as a File object. pdf-lib, jsPDF, the canvas API, and Web Crypto do the work on your device. That choice has limits. Encrypted PDFs often fail. In-tab compress does not downsample scans the way a server optimizer advertises. Those limits are written on the guides, not hidden under a percent claim.

Who writes the guides

I write them. They describe this site’s tools: steps, a worked case, and what the button will not do. They are not copied from another PDF brand. If a sentence is wrong, email support@filetoolskit.com with the page URL. The date on each guide is the last edit, currently 1 October 2026 for this set.

The resume match percentage is a local word overlap. It is not an employer ATS. Health figures on the calculator are arithmetic, not medical advice. Currency figures are static examples, not a bank quote. Those lines are also in the disclaimer.

Ads

The tools are free. Google AdSense Auto ads (publisher pub-4409273905876536, listed in ads.txt) support hosting. Ads do not receive your PDF or image bytes from our servers, because those files are not uploaded to us. Cookies and ad measurement are described in the privacy policy and cookie policy.

What this site is not

It is not a law firm, a clinic, a bank, or a recruitment agency. It does not store your documents for you. A reload drops the in-memory file. Downloads you saved stay in your downloads folder. It does not OCR, truly redact, or guarantee a digital signature will survive a rewrite.
